Joycon repair
Both of my joy cons had been damaged in a fall and needed some repair.
I ordered the needed parts and tools from Japanspel and began the repairs, following the guides at iFixit.
What needed to be replaced
- Joystick
These are a straight forward replacement since they have a tendency to wear out and cause drift. - Ribbon cables connecting L1 & L2 -buttons
After some research I found out that a damaged ribbon cable is often the cause of the L-buttons not working. - Battery
A bit swollen, not surprising since the joycons are original from 2017
